Recorded on July 11, 2011.
For Mike Gamble and Tony Falco, this project was a reunion of sorts. Resurrecting the Captain's Log project after ten years of only intermittent playing with each other was no challenge at all. They veered from their norms in order to find some common ground, yet were able to be true to their own playing styles. The music on this recording was completely improvised. There was not even any discussion as to what would be played. It was recorded live, so there were no overdubs.

Captain's Log would like to thank Brian Broskie for going the extra mile on this project. He functioned as recording engineer, producer, equipment technician, camera man, video producer. He made the mic cables that we used, built three of the drums heard on this project, and stayed up all night before the session fixing the bass amp. In short, without his participation this recording would not have been possible.

Big thanks to Sunita Ochoa for the artwork. She perfectly captured the spirit of this project in this piece entitled "Dra-go-on."
